The process of reading exercises the brain, broadens the mind and stimulates the imagination. Whether fact or fiction, it improves focus, concentration and memory, extends vocabulary and nurtures creativity, opening us up to new ideas.

Reading books can educate, enlighten and entertain us. It transports us to other places and expands our horizons. A diverting pastime, reading can be relaxing, therapeutic and effective in reducing stress.

You can give reading a social dimension by joining (or forming), a book club, where people meet up to discuss novels from various genres - from literary classics to modern best sellers, from crime thrillers to historical romance.
