Reflexology is based on the belief that the body is divided into zones which are all represented by specific areas of the feet and hands. Application of manual pressure to these reflex points will thus influence the corresponding organs and glands to beneficial effect, improving circulation, relieving tension and encouraging the release of toxins. A typically pleasant and relaxing experience, reflexology may help to alleviate anxiety, stress and stress related conditions. Reflexology sessions, which usually last for about an hour, involve precise massage techniques applied to the soles and uppers of the feet. Don't worry if you're ticklish as reflexology treatment is quite firm!
