A widely used and recognised practice, chiropractic can alleviate a variety of ailments including back trouble and migraine. Chiropractic treatment doesn't involve surgery or drugs but a range of manipulative techniques that concentrate particularly on the spine. Chiropractors use their hands to make specific adjustments designed to improve the efficiency of the joints, relax and lengthen muscles, tendons and ligaments, restore mobility and relieve pain. The body can thus resume normal functioning and begin its own natural healing processes. After chiropractic treatment, patients are offered individual advice about exercise and lifestyle to help them manage and maintain their own health. Chiropractic may be available to patients through referral by their doctor. Otherwise chiropractors can be seen in a private capacity.
