Golfing |
Written by Catherine Davis | |
Golf develops concentration, hand to eye coordination – and persistence! Using a variety of golf clubs the challenge is to hit your ball around the golf course using as few strokes as possible, avoiding hazards such as lakes and bunkers. As well as fresh air and pleasant countryside surroundings, golf provides gentle physical exercise and can help you to keep in shape. Playing an eighteen hole course may involve walking more than four miles, and the rotation of the spine in a swing is great for the waistline. Golf is accessible to all ages, and the nature of the handicapping system means that people of different abilities can play with and against each other.
