Ask Yourself Three Questions |
Written by Mark Millard | |
There is no value in life except what you choose to place upon it and no happiness in any place except what you bring to it yourself. Henry Thoreau.
1. What is important to me? 2. What do I enjoy doing? 3. What am I good at? Write down a list of answers to each question, then work through them, looking for items or themes that feature strongly in all three of your lists. If there is no clear winner are there a couple of strong candidates that could be combined in some way? Still unsure? Try showing your lists to people you know and trust, they may see things from a slightly different or clearer perspective. Writing things down helps to focus your mind and building your lists up over a couple of days or so can help broaden and refine your thinking.
